t is a part of Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme initiated in 2013 as part of the long-term efforts of the UK Government to reduce carbon emissions and fuel poverty. The FTCH grants help low-income households to benefit from the latest technology heating systems funded by the Government of the UK. The grant includes both the buying and installation costs of the equipment.
Although this is not a loan – it is a grant and you don’t have to pay it back – it is not necessary that you receive 100% funding. Based on the criteria set by the government, you may have to bear minimum to no costs for your new heating system.
